How to write complex sentences with “with”

A simple method to get 7+

In this post, we will deal with writing one type of complex sentence in our graph reports. Look at the following sentences:

a) For just over 10 percent of these species, the threat is severe, with 3.92 percent of plants likely to become extinct …

b) However, the danger is on a much smaller scale than in the topics, with figures ranging between 12 and one percent.

Now lets take a closer look at how these sentences are made:

The pollution levels will speak in 2015, and figures will reach 22 parts per million.

First, we omit the modal verb “will” and add -ing to the verb. look at the comma before “with”

Now it is your turn to make sentences:

  1. The figures increased fourfold in 2008, and costs went up from $200 to $800.
  2. Bird-watching grew in popularity that year, and teenage groups became more involved in the hobby than any other group.
